Survey for Approaches to Teaching the Works of William Carlos Williams

A volume on teaching the works of William Carlos Williams is in development in the MLA Approaches to Teaching series. And we are seeking information about the methods and materials used by instructors when teaching Williams’s poetry and prose.

The collection of essays will offer secondary and post-secondary teachers, graduate students, and independent scholars, a resource for teaching a poet whose work is widely regarded as among the most innovative and influential of the twentieth century.

We invite responses to the survey questions as well as proposals for a contribution to the volume. The survey is live on the MLA Contribute to a Book in Development page or is available directly the survey. Proposals and survey responses are due no later than 1 June 2023.

If you have questions about the collection, please contact Daniel Burke, Arrupe College, Loyola University Chicago (dburke7@luc.edu) ; Elin Käck, Linköping University (elin.kack@liu.se); or Mark C. Long, Keene State College (mlong@keene.edu).
