Latino Poetry: The Library of America Anthology

The society celebrates the publication of Latino Poetry: The Library of America Anthology, edited by Rigoberto González, a gathering that includes more than 180 poets, spanning from the 17th century to today, and presents those poems written in Spanish in the original and in English translation.

Latino Poetry contains two poems by William Carlos Williams in the section titled “Antecedents”: “All the Fancy Things,” first published in The Dial 82 (June 1927) and “The Poet and his Poems” from The Collected Poems Vol. II.

The volume features include biographies of all the poets and helpful notes that provide additional line translations and illuminate cultural references and allusions to historical events.
